Take the Plunge with us in Australia to support EB Research Partnership
Named after 8-year-old Elodie Kubik, who lives with a severe form of EB, the Plunge began as a local effort in the US, organized by childhood friends of Elodie’s mom.
They wanted to do more for the family than just offer emotional support, and as they learned about EB and the larger rare disease community, it became clear how desperately diseases like EB need funding to find treatments and cures. In short: every dollar truly matters. Thus, the first Plunge took place in 2018.
This polar plunge has grown into a global movement to honor the fight of EB warriors everywhere. Get your family, friends, colleagues and community involved so we can make waves for EB families and support life-saving research!

100% of donations directly benefit the EB Research Partnership, the largest non-profit dedicated to funding research aimed at treating and ultimately curing EB. All donations above $2 and sponsorships are tax deductible.

You'll be making waves for EB!
As we enter the seventh year of the Plunge for Elodie, we are filled with more hope than ever. In May 2023, we saw the first-ever FDA approved EB treatment. This is not only the first-ever FDA approved treatment for those battling EB, but also the first FDA approved topical, redosable gene therapy.
Our goal in 2025 is to raise $600K, which will bring our total impact to over $3M!
These funds will go directly towards EB Research Partnership so they can continue to fund critical, life-saving research until there is a cure. One day in the not so distant future, we envision a world free of EB, and we will continue to Plunge until that becomes a reality!
